The Journey

It all began in 2004…

My three-year old son, Matthew, came home from church one day and asked:

“Mom, does God die when I die? Cause God lives in me. So does he die when I do?”

I told Matthew to think of his spirit as a little house… or a tree house. God comes to live in his house when he asks him to, and when his body dies, his spirit – his little tree house – doesn’t die. It goes to be with God forever.

Just a few nights later, I woke with a story whirling about in my head of a little boy meeting Jesus in his heart… That was the beginning of God’s inspiration of stories about Toby. The ideas have developed with the help of a wonderful team of God-inspired people, some of whom are not even aware of their involvement!

Each story undergoes the scrutiny of Dr. Chris Peppler, Lead Elder of the Lonehill Village Church and Founder of the South African Theological Seminary.
